The football world cup sweepstake in aid of Amnesty has been drawn. tadaaaaa, and the results are (as we didn't have 32 participants, but more than 16, all participants were entered into a second team draw, and only some were lucky to get a second team - hence some have two teams, some have one):
Teri B - Togo, USA
Bernard - England, Mexico (shame!)
Andrea - Iran
Aaron - Argentina
Gisela - Korea, Ukraine
Brian - Czech Republic, Australia
Alison - Saudi Arabia
Jacqui - Brazil
Paul K - Japan, Ecuador
Pat - Italy
Franziska - Ghana
Paul D - Cote d'Ivoire
Steffi - Costa Rica, Croatia
Gordon M - Angola, Poland
Gordon B - Spain, Netherlands
Emily - Trinidad and Tobago, Germany
Martina - Tunisia, Switzerland
Marlies - Serbia and Montenegro, Paraguay
John - Portugal, Sweden
Frances - France (now that's funny!)
The sweepstake raised £80 (minus cost of prize), although some people still have to pay up (hint hint), and the prize will either be a the two bottles I won with my letter of the fortnight should it ever arrive, or a 1l bottle of Single Malt. And I'm trying out sending a notification to all sweepstakers with this post, so that everyone knows their team(s). No turning back though if you got rubbish teams, look at my own self, probably two teams who won't even make it through to the next round. Ah well.
